Employment laws

The body of law known as employment law regulates how employers must treat their employees. All aspects of employment, including hours worked, terms of employment, working conditions, and other factors, are subject to labour law. The National Minimum Wage Act, Employers' Liability Act, Employment Rights Act, Part Time and Temporary Provident Fund (PMP) Act, Minimum Wage Order, Annual Credit Payment Act, Employers' Rules, and Family Careracy Act are the seven primary labour laws in the UK. These laws dictate how an employer may do business. They also outline the procedure for terminating employees and offer a framework for handling accusations of unfair dismissal.

The amount that an employer is required to pay an employee for working hours is governed by the National Minimum Wage Act. This covers overtime and additional bonus payments. Other facets of the National Minimum Wage are also covered. The Employers' Liability Act offers legal protection to everyone who might be hurt at work and guards against negligence in the conduct of business. The Employment Rights Act safeguards each person's right to employment and offers individuals who are unable to work for whatever reason the required protection.
